How to Remove Your Toyota Wipers - Service Mode

Applies to: Yaris (2020+), Corolla (2019+), C-HR (2016+), RAV4 (2019+), Camry (2019+), bZ4X

On many Toyota models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.

How to Activate Toyota Wiper Service Mode

  1. Turn your car off.
  2. Within 45 seconds, move the wiper stalk to the MIST position and hold it there for 2 seconds or more. The wipers will lift from beneath the bonnet to a vertical service position.
  3. You can now change the blades.
  4. To lower the wipers again, turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

For the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with a rear wiper hidden behind the spoiler, the rear wiper requires a different approach: turn the rear wiper on and wait for it to move away from the spoiler, then turn off the ignition. Carefully lift the rear wiper to the service position. This may take a couple of attempts to position correctly without contacting the spare tyre.

Make Sure the Blades Fit

Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.

We’ll also send the fitting video and any service-mode steps your car needs. Open the box and you’re ready to go.
