How to Remove Your Land Rover Wipers - Service Mode

Applies to: Defender (L663 2020+), Discovery Sport (L550 2019+), Range Rover Evoque (L551 2019+), Range Rover Sport (L461 2022+), Range Rover (L460 2022+), Freelander

On many Land Rover models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.

How to Activate Land Rover Wiper Service Mode

  1. Ensure the vehicle is in Park and the ignition is in accessory mode or off.
  2. Turn your car off.
  3. Within 10 seconds, push the wiper stalk upwards to the single wipe or mist position and hold for about 3 to 4 seconds. The wipers will lift to a vertical service position.
  4. You can now change the blades.
  5. To lower the wipers again, turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

Land Rover and Range Rover models with the Pivi Pro infotainment system on some variants allow service mode to be activated through the vehicle settings menu as an alternative to the stalk sequence. Navigate to Vehicle Settings → Wiper Service Mode if you prefer the touchscreen approach.

Make Sure the Blades Fit

Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.

We’ll also send the fitting video and any service-mode steps your car needs. Open the box and you’re ready to go.
