How to Remove Your Kia Wipers - Service Mode

On many Kia models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.
How to Activate Kia Wiper Service Mode
- Turn your car on, then turn it off.
- Within 20 seconds, push the wiper stalk to the MIST position and hold it there for at least 3 seconds. The wipers will move to a vertical service position.
- You can now change the blades.
- To lower the wipers again, turn your ignition on and return the stalk to the mist position again. Note: on Kia models the return step differs from Hyundai — you repeat the mist position rather than activating the wipers normally.
Just one quick check
The 20-second window from turning off the vehicle is important. If you take longer than 20 seconds to initiate the sequence it will not trigger and you will need to repeat from step one.
Make Sure the Blades Fit
Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.
We’ll also send the fitting video and any service-mode steps your car needs. Open the box and you’re ready to go.
