How to Remove Your KGM (SsangYong) Wipers - Service Mode

Need to reach the wipers on your KGM (SsangYong)? Some models use service mode. Others let you lift the wiper arms straight from the windscreen. Use the steps below for the models listed here.

How to Access Your KGM (SsangYong) Wiper Blades

1. Turn your car off.
   
2. Within 15 seconds pull the wiper stalk towards you to the wash position and hold for about 3 seconds.
   
3. The wipers will move to a service position.
   
4. You can now change the blades.
   
5. To return: turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

Older SsangYong models, including earlier Tivoli and Korando variants, may have wipers that rest on the glass and do not require a service mode sequence. If your wipers are visible on the windscreen simply lift the wiper arm directly with the ignition off.
