How to Remove Your Fiat Wipers - Service Mode

Applies to: 500 (2007+, 2020+ electric), Panda (2012+), Tipo (2016+), 500X (2014+), 500L

On many Fiat models, the wipers park beneath the bonnet edge. Do not force the arms upwards. Put them into service mode first, then they are easy to reach.

How to Activate Fiat Wiper Service Mode

  1. Switch your auto wiper feature to manual mode.
  2. Turn your car off.
  3. Immediately hold the wiper stalk DOWN for about 3 seconds until the wipers lift to a service position.
  4. You can now change the blades.
  5. To return: turn the car on and activate the wipers once.

Just one quick check

The original Fiat 500 (2007-2019) and the Panda have wipers that rest on the glass and do not require service mode. Simply turn the car off and lift the wiper arm directly. The new electric 500e from 2020 does use service mode as described above.

Make Sure the Blades Fit

Wiper sizes and fittings can change between versions of the same model. Enter your registration and we'll match your car with the correct front and rear blades.
